Getting Started

What is KurdEx?

KurdEx is a worldwide peer-to-peer marketplace where users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies. Buyers and sellers post ads on KurdEx, offering to trade crypto. When a user responds to an offer, a peer-to-peer exchange is conducted directly between the buyer and seller.

What’s the difference between KurdEx and an exchange?

You are never keeping your cryptocurrencies in KurdEx Platform; you are always exchanging directly with another user. All crypto exchanges are made outside the platform using exchange platforms, directly from person to person.

How is my privacy protected?

KurdEx doesn’t collect any personal information, and we don’t use any tracking services such as Google Analytics. We treat your privacy with the utmost respect. Any messages between users are end-to-end encrypted, meaning we don’t have the ability to read them. The only case where we can decipher your messages is when you invite a moderator for help in resolving a payment dispute, or when you report another user.

Does KurdEx require me to verify my account?

Although you are not trading crypto with KurdEx, but for the purpose of trust among users you need to verify your account.

Account

How do I recover my account password if I lose it?

If you've forgotten your password, you can click on Forget Password and recover it. It is important to keep your password safe and to never share it. If someone gains access to your account, any money transferred to your KurdEx account could be compromised in the future, even if you change your password!

How can I change my username?

We do not allow people to change their username. The reason for this is to prevent reputation-transfer abuse; i.e. it's not possible to transfer reputation to a new username, nor avoid negative reputation linked to your name (both on this platform and elsewhere).

What is OTP and how can I enable it?

OTP or One-Time Password is a security mechanism that helps protect your account. The default setting of your account is that you will receive an email on a login attempt and you will have to click a link in that email to authenticate the login. The OTP provides a 6 digit code that is sent to your registered mobile number.changes every minute. You will need to enter this code when verifying your number. Using OTP results in a higher level of security for your account.

I have been suspended from the platform. What can I do?

If you have been suspended from trading, you will need to contact us.

Why have my offers been hidden?

Offers may be hidden for one of two reasons: You did not respond to a new trade within a reasonable timeframe, so your offer was automatically disabled to keep the marketplace healthy. When this happens, you will receive an email with more information. Your account may be restricted. If this is the case, you will need to contact the customer support team.
